Features

The Adventure Game Builder is a full parsing engine for narrative driven interactive fiction, built for teams shipping to mobile. Room mapping, character dialogue, item logic, and victory conditions all work together so your story comes to life exactly as you design it, from a quiet single choice to a puzzle with a dozen moving parts. Build it once in the browser, then take it to players on the App Store and Google Play through the mobile engine.

Built for Mobile

Every tool in The Adventure Game Builder points toward one destination: a native app in your players’ hands. Preview your build instantly inside the editor, exactly as it will look and play, so you can test and refine before anything ships.

Coming soon, the white label mobile engine packages your finished game as a branded app for iOS and Android, ready for the App Store and Google Play. Licensing runs on revenue share, with an optional setup fee for teams who want a faster start, not a large software purchase before you’ve shipped a single build (pricing and licensing details coming soon).

Visual Canvas Builder

See your entire story at a glance. The Visual Canvas Builder replaces walls of text and buried branches with a living map of your game, every character, every choice, every path forward laid out in front of you. Instead of imagining how your story connects, you watch it connect: drag, link, and shape entire conversations and quest lines visually, catching dead ends and missed threads before a single player ever does. It’s the same full parsing engine under the hood, now with a view of your world you can actually think in.

Item Editor / Management

Want to craft the perfect treasure hunt or build mind bending puzzles? The Item Editor lets you bring any object to life, from magical swords that deal damage to mysterious potions with hidden properties. Drag items around your inventory, combine them like a master alchemist, and watch them transform with dynamic states. Set up key and lock systems, create item chains that react to each other, and attach custom behaviors through visual logic flows. Whether you’re stashing a healing potion or hiding a game changing artifact, every item becomes a playground for player creativity, with categories, custom attributes, and relationship systems that make objects feel truly interactive.

Character Management

Populate your world with unforgettable personalities! The Character Management system transforms simple NPCs into living, breathing companions (or enemies). Design branching dialogue trees where conversations evolve based on player choices, configure combat ready adversaries with custom attack patterns, and give each character unique personality traits that shine through interactions. Hide mysterious figures until the perfect reveal, track relationship changes as players make allies or foes, and attach visual logic to character encounters. From wise mentors offering cryptic advice to hostile guards patrolling dark corridors, every character becomes a story waiting to unfold.

Logic Flow Editor – The Game’s Brain

No coding skills? No problem! The Logic Flow Editor is your visual programming powerhouse, turning complex game mechanics into drag and drop fun. Build conditional puzzles with “if then else” blocks, create cinematic story sequences with narration and dialogue, and design branching choices that genuinely matter. Choose from ready made templates like quest systems and combat triggers, or craft your own wild combinations. Stack blocks to control everything: spawn characters, award points, modify item states, trigger effects, all without writing a single line of code. Test your flows with breakpoints, watch the logic unfold visually, and see your game come alive through pure creative flow.

Inventory System

Transform item interactions into gameplay magic! The Inventory Management system lets you define exactly what happens when players combine that rusty key with the ancient chest, or drop a fragile vase on stone floors. Create crafting systems where items fuse into powerful new tools, build puzzle chains requiring specific item combinations, and script special effects when objects interact. Use simple templates for common actions or write custom outcomes using game variables. Every “use,” “combine,” and “drop” action becomes an opportunity for surprise, discovery, and clever problem solving that rewards creative thinking.

Media Management

Give your game atmosphere and soul with the Media Management system! Upload haunting background music, atmospheric sound effects, character portraits, and environmental images, all organized in one central hub. Tag your assets for easy discovery, add accessibility metadata like alt text and transcripts, and track exactly where each piece of media appears in your game. Everything you build here carries straight through to the mobile engine, so when players step into your shadowy forest or bustling marketplace, they experience it with all their senses engaged.

Logic Flow System

Behind every great adventure is invisible magic making it all work. The Logic Flow system connects your game’s moving parts through visual programming that responds to player actions. Attach flows to room entries, item pickups, character conversations, any game event you can imagine. Use pre built templates for common patterns or build custom sequences from scratch. Track which flows are active, identify unused logic waiting to be deployed, and see how everything connects through intuitive dashboards. It’s the puppet strings of your game world, but you’re the puppet master pulling them with style.

Room Editor

Build the world one location at a time! The Room Editor is your architect’s toolkit for crafting immersive spaces players will love (or fear) exploring. Set atmospheric details like lighting and ambient sound, write rich descriptions that transport players into your world, and connect rooms through directional exits, some open, some locked and waiting for the right key. Populate rooms with items and NPCs, attach logic flows that trigger on entry or exit, and designate your starting point. Search, filter, and sort your room collection as your world grows, ensuring every location feels purposeful and connected to the grand adventure.

Room Map

See your entire world at a glance! The Room Map visualizes your game as a colorful network of connected locations, each room represented by a unique house icon with directional arrows showing how players navigate between spaces. Drag rooms around to organize your layout intuitively, spot isolated areas that need connecting, and watch your game’s structure take shape visually. Double click any room to edit it, create new rooms on the fly, and zoom in for details or out for the big picture. It’s like having a magical cartographer’s table where your adventure world materializes before your eyes.

Scoring System

Make every action feel rewarding! The Scoring System lets you award points for exploration, puzzle solving, dialogue choices, and basically anything players do. Configure point rules for different action types, create achievements with bonus rewards and unlock conditions, and design progress levels that mark player advancement from “Novice” to “Master.” Set default point values for story events, track achievement progress in real time, and give players that satisfying feedback loop that keeps them engaged. Whether you want a simple high score challenge or a complex achievement ecosystem, the scoring tools adapt to your vision.

Victory Condition Editor

Craft endings that matter! The Victory Condition Editor lets you define exactly how players win, lose, or discover secret conclusions to your story. Set up multiple win conditions, maybe players can triumph by reaching max score OR completing a quest OR discovering a hidden treasure. Create dramatic failure states, from running out of health to making critical story mistakes. Design custom endings that respond to how players actually played, speedrunners get one ending, completionists another, secret finders a third. Test your conditions in real time, use templates for common scenarios, and ensure every playthrough feels meaningful and complete.

Hints

Every great adventure deserves a safety net! The Hints system lets you attach helpful nudges to any room, item, puzzle, or challenge in your game. You decide what clues to offer and when. Players who are stuck can reach for a hint without the magic of your world ever breaking, keeping them immersed and moving forward instead of wandering in frustrated circles. From a gentle prod in the right direction to a more direct pointer, the level of guidance is always yours to control.

Reports

Knowledge is power, and Reports hands you the complete picture! As your adventure grows, keeping track of every room, item, NPC, logic flow, and connection can feel like herding cats. Reports tames the chaos with a structured overview of your entire creation in one place. Trace logic paths, spot gaps before your players do, and make sure every piece of your world links together exactly as you intended. Think of it as your game’s blueprint, always up to date and ready to consult whenever you need to see the full shape of your adventure.

Built for Every Player

Accessibility isn’t an afterthought here, it’s built into the foundation. The Adventure Game Builder is built to meet WCAG 2.1 Level AAA standards throughout: screen reader compatibility, full keyboard navigation, high contrast support, and accessible media tagging baked into every tool. Your game reaches more players, and clears the compliance bar required by educational and government buyers, without extra work on your end.
